Rev. James D.S. Vance

    Rev. James D.S. Vance is a third-generation preacher and the second generation to come through the African Methodist
Episcopal Church. His early education was nurtured in both the San Francisco Unified School District and the Jefferson
Elementary School District in California. He is an Alumnus of
Morris Brown College, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from Shorter College (now University). Rev. Vance pursued the Master of Divinity degree at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, GA. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, and Pi Gamma Mu National Social Science Honor Society. Rev. Vance is a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. (IOTA Alumni Association MBC) and a Charter and Founding member of Sigma Omicron Lambda Chapter located in Fayetteville, GA.

    Rev. Vance is the current President of the Fayette County Georgia Branch of the NAACP and the Senior Pastor and Founder of New Direction Higher Calling Ministries (New Direction HCM) in Fayetteville, GA.

    Rev. Vance is married to Mrs. Tracy Lynn Berry-Vance, and is the father of two daughters Ms. Phelicia Roseanna Berry Vance, and Ms. Angelina Dorian Marie Vance.
